SEPEM Douai—The Industry of the Future Takes Shape in Hauts-de-France

This week, Votat will be attending the SEPEM Industries trade show in Douai, a must-attend event for industry professionals. Each year, the event brings together hundreds of exhibitors to discuss issues related to production and industrial innovation.

On this occasion, our president, Philippe MARILLAUD, will speak this afternoon during a roundtable discussion focused on the central theme “The Industry of the Future Is Being Invented in Hauts-de-France.” This topic resonates particularly strongly in this region, which has been historically shaped by metallurgy, textiles, and heavy industry since the 19th century.

Today, the Hauts-de-France region embodies an industry in transition: thoughtful automation, upskilling, the return of expertise to the region, and the modernization of production tools. The region is home to more than 300,000 industrial jobs and remains one of France’s leading manufacturing hubs.

This roundtable is also an opportunity to share a concrete, human-centered perspective from the field—and, above all, one that looks to the future.

Grab your calendars and take notes! See you next week.
